There are some simple guidelines one can follow to protect and improve their health and to promote longevity:

1. Learn to count your calories and to limit your caloric intake to only the necessary for each day. Note: if caloric intake is higher than what you need, all those extra calories just bulk up into fat. Also, the higher your body fat is, the more you are going to crave for more food.

2. Learn to live a healthy lifestyle. Don’t just sit around all day doing nothing, rather move a lot and exercise; this can be more important than eating healthy food. If you do not move and burn the calories you consume of any type of food, you will gain fat.

3. Remember, that even though you are learning to cook deliciously with this method, you should limit your intake of food that is high on sugar. For example, soda is very high on sugar. Especially those sodas made with aspartame which is even worst.

4. Do avoid trans fat and saturated fats which is the fats found in hydrogenated oils and meat.

5. I know that this is not giving you any extra recipes, but I think this information can help us all. Smoking is a sign that a person is not physically active so it is definitely not good for your health. Smoking is bad for the lungs and also for the heart!
